From the outside, this terrarium is an old wooden box filled with a plastic and rubber mat, an old piece of wood, and some old toys.
But this little room is actually made from wood and glass.
It’s a tiny home designed by local artist and mechanical workshop owner Jody Jones.
It looks like a giant living room with all the comforts of home, but inside is a tiny house made entirely from wood, glass, and wood-like materials.
This little room makes a home for a mechanical art studio.
Jones says the home was inspired by a garage, but with a twist.
The home is made of four parts.
One part is the wooden box, the second is a wooden house that is filled with wood, the third is the glass, the fourth is a glass terrarium with a lot of little mechanical toys.
“It was inspired in a lot ways by a family who moved to the US and who made their own house,” says Jones.
“And I thought, ‘What if I can do the same thing?'”
Jones and his wife, Lillian, built their tiny house from materials that they find in their backyard.
Jones used old wood and other materials that were around the area.
“We got the wood from our backyard,” he says.
“We used old pallets and pallets that we salvaged from the back yard.”
The small, yet cozy space makes it easy to get to work.
Inside the room are a couple of large mechanical toys, a couple toys made out of recycled wood, some pieces of old furniture, and even a pair of toys made of rubber and glass that were salvaged in a garage.
Jones says the house is filled to the brim with little mechanical gadgets.
“You could probably fit a full kitchen in here,” he laughs.
“And we’ve got this little little mini-cabinet with a couple shelves in there, and I’ve got a lot more than that.”
Jones says his goal is to build a home where you can be home and not have to leave the house, and it’s easy to do.
Jones and his team have been working on this home for three months and they’re already looking forward to Christmas and New Years.
