The new era of truck engines has arrived, and it’s time to get in on the fun.
As of this weekend, the most common trucks on the road are equipped with Cummins Cummins’ Triton diesel engine.
The Cummins diesel engines have proven to be a reliable and fuel efficient engine, but the company has recently been developing an alternative.
Triton, which is being manufactured by Cummins in South Carolina, uses a diesel technology that is far more efficient than the older Cummins engines.
“Cummins’ Cummins Diesel Technology is more fuel efficient, more powerful and more fuel-efficient than the Cummins Tritons,” Cummins told CBC News.
“The Cummans Diesel Technology utilizes a new type of liquid metal fuel-air intercooler which is designed to maximize fuel efficiency and reduce operating costs for a diesel engine.”
The company says it has already been installing Tritonics in more than 20,000 trucks.
While Cummins has not released the exact numbers, it says it’s been adding more than 60,000 vehicles a year.
Cummins says the technology could be used in “sport utility vehicles” like sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and light trucks, but that will depend on demand.

The first commercial diesel-driven truck, the Mercedes-Benz SLK 3.5, was developed in the 1970s, but has yet to see production.
The latest diesel-based truck, Mercedes-Borussia-Honda’s E-Class, has been in the works for years, and the company says the company plans to produce more than 10,000 of them this year.
